Mine has a darker grain on one side than I expected from photo, but it is solid and keeps the cards upright. Small detail only, I still like how tidy the desk looks now.
Tracking did not move for several days and it arrived later than planned for my colleague's birthday. She likes it very much, and the natural wood makes her white desk less cold looking.
My first one has sat in the home office for months and still looks lovely. I ordered another for the desk at my shop. The grain is naturally different, which I expected and quite like. Both keep the cards upright without taking much room.

Running a finger around the curve, most finish is very smooth. There is one tiny rough place inside, only I notice because I inspect everything. On desk it looks clean and expensive.

Delighted I chose something useful rather than another mug.
