My previous set had a deeper brown finish, while this batch is a shade lighter and has more visible grain. They still pair nicely with linen napkins. I wipe them straight after meals and havent noticed any swelling. Keeping both sets for bigger dinners.

My first proper rests

At 5.5 cm they are compact but enough for chopsticks or a small spoon. Is a very practical size for my narrow kitchen drawer.

I had never used utensil rests at home before. Usually the serving spoon ended up on a folded bit of kitchen roll. These looked simple enough, so I tried a set. The oval shape holds both our chopsticks and teaspoons nicely. Now they come out for nearly every supper.
