Bought this for my sister's new flat and she put it out before I had even left.

Natural, but not fussy

The woven straw was the first thing I noticed, it has a really pleasing pattern up close. Mine feels carefully put together. The warm tone sits nicely against our dark bathroom shelf. Refilling through the little hinged lid is straightforward. A small thing, perhaps, but the room looks much calmer now.

Did the trick.

The little toggle looked fiddly when I opened parcel. First refill took me a moment to understand it. After that, very simple. The lid stays closed and tissue comes easily from top. Is a clever cover and looks beautiful on desk.

Will it fit supermarket boxes?

The listed dimensions are accurate, though my usual tall tissue box was a bit too snug for the lid to close properly. It looks lovely once I transfer fewer tissues into a shorter box.

Color is little more golden than on my screen, still very nice with wood furniture. The weaving is neat and lid opens easy for refill.

A smart little upgrade

The warm neutral tone works beautifully with my oak vanity, though the weave on the back is not quite as even as the front.

Wanted something plain to hide the tissue carton on the settee table. It arrived looking much like the photos, a warm straw shade with a nice close pattern. The hinged top makes sense and I can refill it without turning everything upside down. One corner is a wee bit uneven, handwoven things often are. It stays put when used and doesnt crowd the table. Happy enough with it.

Six months later...

I measured twice because my desk has very little spare room. The listed 23 cm by 12 cm footprint was right for my space. A regular rectangular tissue carton went inside without wrestling it. At first I wondered whether the straw would feel fragile. Six months later, the corners still look good and the hinge remains secure. Quite pleased I chose this one.

A Thoughtful Finish

Delivery took one day longer than the estimate, though the holder arrived in good condition. It looks warm on our white cabinet and the top opening works smoothly.

Where was this hiding?

One tiny fibre was sticking out near the lid, so I carefully trimmed it. Apart from that, the weave is tidy and the toggle works well. Much nicer than looking at a bright cardboard box beside the bed.

Compact footprint is perfect for my crowded bedside table. It covers the colourful tissue carton and makes everything look clean. Very happy with quality for price.

Finally hid the loud box

A floral tissue carton was ruining my very restrained office setup, which sounds dramatic but was true. Now the corner looks intentional and the top slot is wide enough for easy dispensing.

Good, with one caveat

Compared with a cheaper plastic cover I had, this one looks much less clinical. Some strands are not perfectly even around the slot, so design conscious buyers may notice. I reckon that is part of the handwoven look, though.

Would it fit?

Size was my main concern as tissue boxes seem to vary more than they should. I measured mine before ordering and it slipped inside comfortably. The hinged lid saved me from having to bend anything into place. Tissues pull through the slot cleanly. First one I have owned, and it does the job nicely.

The weave varies

Compared with the very even pattern shown, mine has a noticeably looser section near the lid. It still works and the tissues dispense smoothly. I understand handmade pieces vary, but I expected a slightly tidier finish for the price.

NOT THE COLOUR I EXPECTED

The warm straw tone looked paler on my screen, and mine also arrived with a pulled strand on one side. It still functions, but at this price I expected a cleaner finish.

Tissues come through the top slot without catching, even when the box is getting low. Looks lovely on the vanity too.

Cosy

On my black office desk it gives nice natural contrast and hides ugly carton. Is simple object, but room looks more finished now.

Styling wise, it works nicely with the pale wood in our living room. The pattern adds interest but does not make the table look busy. Dust catches slightly in the weave, so I use a soft brush on it. Still a fair buy for the finish.

More weight than expected

Feels substantial enough that it does not lift every time someone grabs a tissue. The compact shape also leaves plenty of room on our wee vanity.

Weight is spot on for the desk, light enough to lift for refills but it doesn't feel flimsy. The tissues pull through without dragging the whole thing along. Reckon it looks heaps nicer than the cardboard box did.

A light wipe removed a tea splash, but afterward the lid did not sit fully flat at one corner. It is still usable and the natural look is nice. For the price, I hoped the shape would stay more even.

Mum said, 'Oh, that's nice'

Mum usually notices practical things and ignores decor. I gave her this with a few bits for her new flat. She opened the hinged lid straight away, put her tissue box inside and found a place for it by the settee. Later she messaged to say it made the room feel finished. That is about as gushing as she gets, so a success.

Natural Texture, Properly Done

Up close, the woven straw has far more character than the plastic cover we had before. The herringbone pattern is tidy without looking factory perfect. It suits our fairly minimal loo a treat.

The measurements are correct and my usual box fits. I do find the cover a little less rigid than expected, especially around the lid. It looks pleasant from normal distance, just not quite as refined close up.
